Well been working on a new page called Available Items, that features an album with all the currently (a little fine tuning still) available items. It is viewable from the left side page navigation (last page) and will soon have the details of the items with sizes and prices and possibly a shopping cart also. Saves a little time of having to use the search feature, categories and archives. As always we are open to suggestions and comments. A few items are missing but hope to have it all updated soon.

We are doing a limited production of 100 stars (we still have some left don’t wait to long) and will be taking pre-orders for personalized and (non-personalized also) stars. They will be $50 each (free s/h to the lower 48 states.) Most will probably be in our Snoware line (snowman/snowmen and snowladies) but we will also be doing some in our Americana line. Personalized stars (or other items) will have to be paid in full before we start. email me (Sloan) with any questions. I will be updating the Creating a star photo album when we have more photos and we will have some finished stars to show soon.

One of our methods of making a ceramic piece is using our hydraulic press. Rather than pouring a slip (liquid clay) mold and waiting a day and pulling it from the mold we have press molds. Our press is hydraulic and it basically uses at lot of force to squish (press) a plate or shape from a slab of clay. Only certain shapes can be pressed, like a bowl or plate and we have to be fortunate enough to have the mold also. So to give a mini tour of the process we will be making a star plate.
