Got the slip casting table going again. It is very easy to neglect. Slip is a liquid type clay that we pump into ceramic molds.
It gets dried out fairly quickly when I forget about it for more than 3 or 4 days. I think my camera may have got dusty or I have wrong setting as my photos look a tad blurry.
Here I’m casting and have cast one of our old style cutout out or banded bowls (it needs to be poured out in about 30 minutes so I’m hurrying .) A baby cake plate and pedestal base. A large pedestal top and a skinny butter dish.
Here on this side is a tall pedestal base, round cookie jar, medium size pedestal base, some cool cabinet handles and a awesome way platter that I’ll attach to the large pedestal base below.
I’m off to go dump my molds. No worries I’ll take more photos tomorrow at they get removed from the molds and as I build the cake pedestals.
There is also a album if your interested in a more detailed showing of slip mold casting here.
Click here for some of our older albums too.
